Greeting,
I was wondering if some one could direct me to the proper documents or
persons to speak in order to be able to create a pear repository, and
the requirements for this.
A brief introduction, at the recent PHP-CON in San Francisco I had the
chance to meet and talk with Rasmus, in his opening talk he sais that
PEAR methods of installation and automatic dependencies resolution for
the PEAR packages might be just what the doctor ordered for our own
project [The Postnuke CMS], we further discuss this possibility and
Rasmus recommended me to contact the list for guidance.
So here I am some time has past since then and now we are about to
modularize and prepare for a PEAR like distribution based on components
for Postnuke, and hope we can find some help in creating a beta
repository in order to start a test period with package delivery using
this method including the dependencies feature.
I have some questions like requirements etc, but also, does the PEAR
repository provides stats? Like how many components are requested and
served? Or any other kind of stats?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, looking forward to your reply.
Thanks in advanced
Cheers
Sam
