Hello Mike,
Well I would not like to impose such a load or request from the php.net
pear repository, the goal here is to create one at PN and then even if
possible mirror it at this point there are hundreds of Postnuke modules
and blocks and themes.
Which do amount to a large quantity of disk space. So the idea is to
create a main repository based on pear and test things if this works
then move all official release to it.
And yes postnuke modules should be able to be installed pretty much in
the way a paer module is, the only difference would be that they would
not reside in the default pear directory instead they would at the pn
root and even then since one serve may have many postnuke installs then
the installer should be able to know where to properly download and
install the modules and its dependencies.
This is very new to us, and we do need to get deeper in order to see if
its even possible.
But we are committed to make this work.
Hope that clarifies the goal.
Thanks
Cheer
Sam
