Hi all,
A few weeks ago, I talked about a PHP wrapper for Mnogosearch I had written.
It is not complete yet (some features are missing like ispell...) but it
works for basic and non basic queries.
Again, if you are interested here is the code:
http://www.mamasam.com/mnogo/index.html
I don't know if it is backward compatible with previous versions of
Mnogosearch and I don't feel like testing it with them. Anyway, it is
compatible with the soon to come 3.2.8 release and the 3.2.7. These are the
versions I am using.
The purpose of this class is to get Mnogosearch settings from a $_POST or a
$_GET or whatever hash, parse them and set the correct parameters for
Mnogosearch to do the search. Then, it also will parse the query words if
necessary so Mnogosearch understands what's been asked. And finally, it
returns the results in pages using the same algorithm as DB_Pager.
In conclusion, it makes Mnogosearch users work easier. You probably won't
care if you are using something else (BTW, such a package for htdig, lucene,
aspseek, oracletext would be welcome).
Now I need your opinion on what name this package should be given:
- SearchEngine_MnogoSearch_Wrapper
- Interface_MnogoSearch
Any other suggestions ?
TIA
