What benefits will using your package have over using the PHP frontend you can
download from the mnogosearch website? What I would like to see is being able to
easily control the look of the pages without using the search.htm file for
headers/footer/result pages etc. Often you have already defined headers and
footer for your site and you don't want to define them again in the search.htm
template file.
Little bit offtopic: I use mnogosearch to index my password protected site via
HTTP. I can directly index the filesystem because it uses PHP and that needs to
be parsed ofcourse. Indexing works okay using the Apache Basic Auth stuff (you
can just supply mnogo with username/passwor din indexer.conf), but I want to
switch to PEAR::Auth because I want to use sessions, register additional session
data and make a nicer login form. But mnogo doesn't understand cookies so it can
never login to my site. I don't want to use URL based sessions (e.g.
url.php?PHPSESSIID=dsa2231hsh) Any way to overcome this problem?
