I'm making a Net_IMAP class to do 4 things:
* provide IMAP access to people that dont have IMAP support
compiled in
* improve the IMAP's support that php has (the php's imap
support only
offer a very limited set of the IMAP protocol) (can you -for example -
fetch all the headers,flags, msgids,uids, internaldate, body and
bodystructure in only 1 call to the imap server? with this class, you
can doit! - make a
$aaa=$a->cmd_fetch("1:3","(FLAGS RFC822.SIZE UID ENVELOPE INTERNALDATE
BODY[TEXT] BODYSTRUCTURE)")
print_r($aaa);
)
* Extensible: We can implemment all the IMAP's extensions.
* low and high level interface: If you Know the IMAP protocol, you can
write the request but also you'll have a high level api to hide the
imap's protocol: (
for example to get the flags of msgs 1 to 10 you can do:
$aaa=$a->cmd_fetch("1:10","(FLAGS)")
or
$aaa=$a->getFLAGS("1:10");
The status is very EXPERIMENTAL, but almost all RFC2060 commands are
implemented (the low level api).
I make a parser to the FETCH response so all the response is returned in
an array. In the future, all the protocols commands will return an array
and they will have this parser.
