This isn't really necessary, as presumably this will be wrapped/abstracted
by the Net_MailStore class.

Constructor:
If you use defaults as localhost and 143 you don't need to check that
they're set and can use them outright.
login():
No need for $apop arg here, even if you're aiming for Net_POP3
compatibility.
disconnect():
Not sure if I'd always perform an expunge here. Maybe make it optional
defaulting to not.
