Something that we all need to be aware of as we implement encryption
algorithms is the rather unfriendly policies of the US regarding strong
crypto exports. I don't know where the PEAR CVS server is located, but
if it's in the USA then crypto packages that implement "strong"
algorithms will need to be hosted offshore.
