Re: PFC-RFC

Hi all, I´m _not_ going to quote all this stuff all over again, but I just have to say that I agree 100% with all the proposals that Christian and Stig have made so far about the PFC stuff - let´s go for it ;-) One concern remains, though: I haven´t yet read any rule about duplicate packages in the PFC... if I didn´t misunderstand anything, the PFC-RFC was meant as a reaction to the recent flamewars that adressed the problem of packages not being maintained, overthrowing of package maintainers, having duplicate packages/forks in PEAR etc.pp. How can we prevent something like this from happening within the PFC? We´ll need to have a set of rules for these things, otherwise we´ll have such flamewars over and over and over again :-( Regards, Markus -- Markus Wolff <wolff@21st.de>
