mIrc, Mozilla has embedded irc client (just connect with /server
irc.freenode.org), pirch98.
Even you can use this : http://www.undernet.org/webchat.php java client.
After connecting
to an undernet.org irc server type /server irc.freenode.org to connect to
the FreeNode network.
