Hi!

I think I have a better idea... can HTML_QuickForm use the HTML_Select package for its select stuff?I thought about this, too. There is a problem with this approach: HTML_QuickForm_select is a subclass of HTML_QuickForm_element and PHP does not have multiple inheritance. Besides, what exactly is the problem we are trying to solve here? HTML_Select's functionality *is* available. It is available in a logical place (<select> outside of a <form>, anyone?). The overhead is small, as you *can* use HTML_QuickForm_select without require'ing HTML_QuickForm. Are we talking enhancements to HTML_Select? No, what is being proposed is releasing an older and not-so-compatible version of code that is already available in PEAR. What are the *benefits*?
