Relax ! Open source is not one person. He did not know that you did not get
the first email.

Nobody forces you to contribute to pear/php you name it. People do so
because they want/have an interest/whatever.
From what i read it look like you approached open source by expecting it to
be the wholly grail, am i wrong ?
