Name: Cache_SRM
Synopsis: Taking advantage of the PHP Application Server or SRM (Script
Running Machine) that is due out in PHP5, Cache_SRM will act as an application-
wide caching mechanism.
Details: The following was taken from an interview with Derick Rethans
(http://beta.usephp.net/article.php3?id_article=2).
"SRM is an acronym for 'Script Running Magic', or 'Script Running Machine'.
It
basically makes it possible to use 'remote' instances of classes, remote
calling of functions (which are already compiled) and storing persistent data
acros multiple page requests or multiple users. In the last case, SRM acts as
a base for Application level variables. But the most intesting part is the
remote call of objects. You can use remote objects (class) just like a local
class in a PHP script. This object, or Banana, as we call it is written in
PHP, and is kept in memory between page requests."
The Cache_SRM will try and take full advantage of these new features and make
it easier for the developer to use the SRM to its fullest capacity.
