Currently we are having some troubles with a unified directory
structure, because we are using two different repositories for
PEAR code. But once this will be cleaned up (this will happen
as soon as the installer code is set up), the structure will
look as follows:
Imaging you are having a class you have called Money_Fast. If you want
to commit it to PEAR, you create a new directory at the root directory
of the repository and call it Money_Fast (the name of the directory
is always the same then the name of the package, you want to commit).
In this directory you commit all your code. Into this directory you
also have to commit a file called package.xml (for an example see
http://cvs.php.net/co.php/pear/Net_Ping/package.xml).
This file
contains the information about your package.
The installer package will then build a TAR-archive Money_Fast.tgz
which is made available through the infrastructure at
http://pear.php.net/ or through a command line installation tool.
