I agree here.
That said, Tomas is right while he said DB and MDB are
quit different. I do not think calling DB an abstraction layer is
correct. DB is a wrapper with advanced features without real
abstraction, and will still be used for a long time.
Users have to carefully choose what they need, for the DB related
packages as well as any others packages.
