Running PHP 4.3.2 on WinXPHSR1+.NET w/ latest PEAR
I tried tonight installing HTML_CSS using the patch Greg released and without it. (I picked HTML_CSS purely to be random)
I was running "pear package" in a directory called: "C:\New Sample\"
In it I had a dir called "HTML_CSS-0.2.0"
I switched to C:\New Sample\HTML_CSS-0.2.0 and ran "pear package" and returned the following:
C:\New Sample\HTML_CSS-0.2.0>c:\php\pear package
Analyzing CSS.php
PEAR_Packager: unable to rewrite package.xml as C:\New\SamB4.tmp\package.xml
It did not install, and also created the director "C:\New" for me.
When running the exact same scenario with the patch it installed smoothly with no errors.
I tried several times with both the patch and without and repeatedly received the same results.
The patch seems to work very nice. :-)
