I think it should be named Net_ICQ because it is developed to
communicate with the ICQ network. My code provides a very limited AIM
support too (going online, receiving and sending messages) because both
IM networks use the oscar protocol but it was not my intention to
support AIM when I started to work on it. I did not know that it "just
works" for both ;).

The ICQ/AIM protocol is totally different from any other IM protocol. In
my oppinion it would be better to cover the ICQ protocol only within
this package. Its structure is very complex and there was/is much work
to do to maintain it because of this - so I am not able to implement
jabber, msn, yahoo etc. In fact I don't know any specification of these
other IM procotols.
btw. I am currently cleaning up my code to be able to show it to the
world ;)
