We got segfaults on one of our dev machines, too. They seemed to be
connected to XML/Parser.php (but not only), but even after 2 days of
searching I couldn't nail the error to anything specific.
I got the same behaviour with PHP 4.0.5 and PHP 4.0.6 using the cvs PEAR
tree.
Since the errors only occured on that one machine, I gave up somewhat
fustrated and decided to hope it never happens on a production
environment...
So far I'm lucky.
This is very strange, because the setup of our machines is done by a
via a script, so they all are the same.
I would be very interested if someone has a clue about the cause!
