Hey all - mailing to the list as I don't know what else to try. When I
use any PEAR scripts, my HTTPD segfault after the script executes - and
sometimes during (which results in a page not found error). I've tried
recompiling php-4.0.6, using various versions of the PEAR tree, removing
certain options from Apache/PHP, etc. All to no avail.
The only PEAR scripts I've tried are the Mail/mime/smtp stuff, and
Cache. I am attaching a very simple PEAR Cache test script which
segfaults every time. I am currently using the PEAR tree included with
php-4.0.6 release. As I mentioned earlier, I have also tested against
the latest CVS PEAR tree as of a couple days ago.
Here's the msg I get in the Apache error log:
[Tue Sep 25 10:23:24 2001] [notice] child pid 3329 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
I get this every time I hit reload in the browser. I should mention
that when the script does complete executing, the code does work - i.e.
there are cache entries in the db table, etc...
FYI - I'm running kernel 2.4.10-pre15 with preempt patches. This was
happening on
2.4.7 release as well.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
P.S. _Everything_ else works perfectly on this box - I use it very
heavily as a dev server.
