I'm with you Jesus. We should open the Services category as "a place
for classes which retrieves and treats data from public servers in
internet". Any SOAP, RPC, propietary protocol could fit here. A nice thing would be if the main
Services.php file could
provide a caching mechanism for remote calls using Cache_Lite.
My only fright with this category is the ammount of classes and
packages people would like to commit.
About the METAR stuff you may probably want to take a look at an old
package proposal Yavor did: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=pear-dev&w=2&r=1&q=b&s=METAR
I'm +1 for the weather class, btw.
