Hi Yavor, I think a better solution would be to check dependencies prior to download where possible. Also, with the next release of PEAR, you can automatically install and upgrade dependencies using the -a switch pear install -a Some_package which might solve the problem in a more efficient way for you. However, if you can come up with some code for a download cache that looks awesome, I'm sure it would be included. Greg Yavor Shahpasov wrote:-- Yavor Shahpasov yavo@siava.orgI often get this pear install Some_package downloading Some_package Some_package: Dependencies failed pear install dependancies pear install Some_package downloading Some_package install ok: Some_package. Now the problem with this is that the package gets downloaded twise, all package managers that I know of rpm and apt, download packages to a cache dir but do not delete them by default. I thing is best if pear behaves the same way, plus maybe implementing a new purge or clean command to delete downloaded packages. Yavor
