Hi,
as some of you may have noticed, I just commited a bunch of files to
pearweb/public_html/manual. They are all generated from Docbook XML
(the same way, the PHP manual is generated).
Since we currently don't have a repository where I can commit the
Docbook stuff, I've made it available at
http://www.martin-jansen.de/pear/documentation/peardoc.tar.bz2
or
http://www.martin-jansen.de/pear/documentation/peardoc.tar.gz
. The archives include all the stuff that is necessary to build the
docs. To build them, just run autoconf, ./configure and make.
Now I would like to hear your opinion on this topics:
1.: Please tell me your criticism, your ideas, simply everything.
2.: How do you like the way the package documentations look
(e.g. http://pear.php.net/manual/packages.auth.php)?
The
documentations are based on the skeleton by Alexander Merz;
I changed them a bit, but the basic idea and most of the work
has been done by him.
3.: If think we should create a new CVS module peardoc for the
documentation, where the Docbook stuff, the Makefile etc.
go to. Is this ok?
