How about making the new layout optional? This way it would be easier
for the developers in favor of the "new" layout to handle their
packages. Or maybe there could even be a "suggestion" but no demand
for the new layout?
Lukas, have you gotten feedback from your colleagues in the core-
group? It seemed you also liked the "new" layout quite much ...
