Bug description: I18N_Number::format() throws warning for customer formats

When settings a customer format
$i18nNumber->setFormat(array(2,',','.'))
$i18nNumber->format(pi());
it throws a warning because of this line
$numberFormat = $this->_localeObj->numberFormat[$format];
