How about a "Complete Idiots" guide to PEAR, with full in's an out's of
installing PEAR and using the package manager(s) (inc. Web interface) on
Unix and Windows, for those that need their hands help (including why PEAR
has an installer in the first place). The manual today is clear but can
see points where a beginner would stuggle (for example it assumes they've
got the php executable in their path: "php go-pear.php").
Other than that, how about listing packages on Hotscripts et al? They get
alot of traffic and are popular with many PHP coders.
