PEAR::Auth already uses storage containers. Currently there is only
an interface to PEAR::DB available, but others are easy to implement.
Currently I have some updates for PEAR::Auth pending, which will include
the following features:
* In the next release it will be possible to specifiy your own function to
create the login form. So it is not necessary anymore to derive the
Auth class in order to get another style for the login form.
* The storage container is much more flexible now: It accepts a second
parameter that represents an array that can contain alternativ names
for the table, for the column containing the username, for the column
that that contains the password etc.
* There will be the possibility to use "default auth" (don't know the
final name for it) to make it optional if the user has to authenticate
or not.
I think that I'll commit them at the end of this week.
