What about passing a sql query directly in a string as a parameter ?
For what reason? I can't see the advantage here ...
For example, if I use a query like that to authenticate my users : "select uid from users where uid='$uid' and password='$password' and status <> 'deleted'" I mean authentication can use more than just user and password fields to happen. As I said, it is just an idea and I am not sure on how to handle it in a class. One might put together a template system for sql queries like : "select uid from users where uid={UID} and password={PASS} and status <> 'deleted'" which would be parsed inside the authentication method thanks to a little preg_replace ?
