Hi Martin,
PEAR::Auth already uses storage containers. Currently there is only an interface to PEAR::DB available, but others are easy to implement. Currently I have some updates for PEAR::Auth pendingI think that the method getAuth should be integrated into the method start or at least it should be configurable whether or not start calls getAuth directly. It is a pain to put if($a->getAuth()) on top of every protected pages. The other features you want to add are interesting. What about passing a sql query directly in a string as a parameter ? (just an idea) Personally, I use your Auth class with my own session handler class, so that I can write session vars in a database instead of files. It works fine. Thanks Bertrand Mansion Mamasam
