Hi Mark, You should run it by Marshall and Stig, the two maintainers of XML_RPC. There are other issues with the implementation of XML_RPC (like the fact that the code needs some serious vacuuming) that might be good to take care of as well, to remove the experimental label. Hi, I've been experimenting with the PEAR implementation of XML-RPC as the built-in PHP implementation worries me in that the documentation states that it's experimental and may change in future, and I used the implementation it's based on before without problems. However, in the PEAR version, the server insists on returning additional debug information as a comment before the document element, which is useful when debugging, but not useful at any other time. It seems to be that there should be a way of switching this off or perhaps it should even be switched off by default and switched on as follows, e.g. $server = new XML_RPC_Server ($methodMap, 0) ; $server->setDebug (TRUE) ; $server->service() ; This way, it'd work in a similar way to the client. I'm thinking of changing it this way myself and I'd be happy to send a diff through with the changes. What do others think? Best, Mark
