However, please note there is already a class for writing SpreadSheets: http://pear.php.net/package/Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer It would be a good idea to arrange with the lead-developers of that package as well as having a look at the OLE-package at: http://pear.php.net/package/OLE/ The OLE-package provides basic functionality for reading and writing of the OLE- files Microsoft uses for their files. Maybe it helps you a bit ... and maybe it shrinks your class by some extend so you don't need to code every bit again-and- again. Regards, Stefan
