Thanks for the direction on the connection protocols, I'll have a look at
the specifications and see if I can come up with an easier way for the user
to specify the argument.
I do have a few questions though,
Since my proposal was accepted, what is the next step? Do I need a PHP cvs
account? Is the package going to be stored on PHP servers or on mine? How
do I create the official documentation? I kinda got the idea that the docs
are pulled directly from the source code, is all that done automatically.
I'd like to add a little more to the official docs than what's in the source
code, like a table of indices that can be expected to appear in the member
variable array containing header information. I'd also like to control
updates made to the source code and be the one to do them! Mostly so I can
understand for myself the updates being made, why they are being made, and
so I can continue to be able to make sense of my own code. I did read the
part about making a tarball and the xml file, and the bit about the upload
form for uploading the package (which I don't yet have access privileges
for, I guess).
I apologize for my naivety, but this being my first publicly contributed
software, I would like to make sure that I know all of my options. Thanks
in advance!
Best Regards,
Richard York
