Dear all, Thank you Thomas for your answer. Tar.php is in folder Archive_Tar not Archive, which makes common.php script return an error (line 24).
mkdir /var/www/php4/pear/Archive/ cp <php_cvs_dir>/pear/Archive/Tar.php /var/www/php4/pear/Archive/Tar.php cp <php_cvs_dir>/pear/<<<<Archive_Tar>>>>/Tar.php /var/www/php4/pear/Archive/Tar.php
If you want to install the XML_Tree package, for the moment you can do it simply with: cp -a <php_cvs_dir>/pear/XML_Tree/* /var/www/php4/pear/XML/
Does it mean it is recommended to merge the two directories? I don't understand the logic of keeping two separates cvs branches. Many users might stop before they start discovering PEAR. Best regards, Jean-Michel POURE
