That's not completely correct. IIRC there is currently a mechanism, that you
have to verify your mailadress before posting to either of this lists. This
is not implemented for pear-cvs and pear-webmaster lists. For that, these
get spammed, while the other lists stay clean.

I'm currently running SpamAssassin for spam filtering + the integrated
filters of Mozilla Thunderbird. The problem I experienced is, that if you
mark to many list-mails as spam, those filters start filtering out all list
mails. For that, I would require minimaly to have this "mail adress
verification" for pear-cvs, too.
