Just give the full version right after the package-name, separated by a hyphen: PHPUnit-1.0.0alpha3.How can I install the PHPUnit-1.0.0alpha3 now ... ? Setting preferred state to 'alpha' doesn't work, because 1.0.0 is newer than 1.0.0alpha3. Someone once told me how to specify the version using the PEAR installer. I can't seem to get that work now -- was it -v 1.0.0alpha3 or -version 1.0.0alpha3. *Is there a reason why this info isn't in the manual!?!* (or perhaps it is, but I don't see it in the "Installation" section)I bumped the ZEND_ENGINE_1 branch of PHPUnit to 1.0.0 and released PHPUnit-1.0.0 with no functional changes since PHPUnit-0.6.2. I renamed the package to PHPUnit2 in the HEAD branch and bumped the version to 2.0.0 there.
pear install PHPUnit-1.0.0alpha3Great -- good to know. I guess the -version / -v thing must have either been a mis-memory or an option that was removed. Would be awesome if someone would add that to the "Installation" section of the manual. Thanks, Hans
