DB_QueryTool unfortunately does not, though it does depend on Log which then depends on DB. Seems it would be wise for it to directly declare a DB dependency, particularly if it's going to the lengths of using private methods. No? What do others think?
Yes it should. Especially as the Log DB depedency should probably be optional.
Also, what do folks think about packages using private methods of other packages? Shouldn't private methods only be used by the package they belong to?
They shouldnt. However if they feel they need such methods they should find a solution with the package maintainer that can be made public. regards, Lukas Smith smith@backendmedia.com _______________________________ BackendMedia www.backendmedia.com berlin@backendmedia.com Linn Zwoch Smith GbR Pariser Str. 44 D-10707 Berlin Tel +49 30 83 22 50 00 Fax +49 30 83 22 50 07
