Hi, I try PEAR HTML_QuickForm class yesterday & I think it work great for all my purpose BUT I can't figure out how SIMPLY trim() all submit values without overriding éverithing :-((Just override the process method, it is intended to do this sort of things. Well, there are many other ways, it just depends on what you are trying to achieve.
also, when I try to addRule on FORM element a second time I got a pear error,.
I'd comment the first lines to avoid this without undersatnding why exactly
line 507 to line 511 inside QuickForm.php
function addRule($element, $message="", $type="", $format="", $validation="server")
{
# if (!$this->elementExists($element)) {
# return new PEAR_ERROR("Element does not exist in HTML_QuickForm::addRule");
# }
Really, you shouldn't comment this, as it is supposed to make a check wether the element you choose to apply the rule on exists. If not, it returns the pear error. You'd rather check wether the element exists or not.
Good luck
