Sounds like a neat idea, certainly worth looking into (if the customization is not more work than doing it from scratch). However, there are some in PEAR-land who believe that if it's not PEAR, it shouldn't be on pear.php.net. I am not one of them, but I have encountered one or two. Anybody else have strong feelings one way or another?PEAR is designed to build a CMS, not to /be/ one. Using one CMS to host the site for another CMS seems ridiculous, but I agree with your idea that GForge is an acceptable/preferable solution if it is less work than implementing an equivalent system from scratch with PEAR. One example that comes to mind is Subversion. The Subversion code was managed by CVS for a long time before Subversion was full-featured enough to host itself. -- Marshall Roch
