As the only contensious issue on the Version naming RFC is the x.y.z rule. As it's a pretty small issue, and doesnt really justify a RFC of it's own - I'll just want to do a straw poll on it.
Please Reply to the last email and add your name under your choice..
a) Add the rule that all version numbers should _ALWAYS_ use x.y.z format (eg. 1.0.0 - always have 3 points. as it's consistant, leaves no room for errors)
b) Only require it on packages that release RC's, (eg. allow 1.1)
