(In case people are wondering I am not doing this for the benefit of a ego powertrip, but because I think this is actually a good thing (tm)) Anyways I think what I will do then is spend some time to fix up the DB wrapper in MDB2 and get it to run as many DB tests as possible. I will document what I needed to change in each of the wrapper methods. I think this way is the most effective since that way its not theory only and we also get the nice bonus of a finished wrapper along the way. regards, Lukas Smith smith@backendmedia.com _______________________________ BackendMedia www.backendmedia.com berlin@backendmedia.com Linn Zwoch Smith GbR Pariser Str. 44 D-10707 Berlin Tel +49 30 83 22 50 00 Fax +49 30 83 22 50 07Then I look forward to seeing it.The list of stuff about MDB2 is fine from a marketing and awareness point of view, but what would really be useful (especially if an MDB2 "take-over" is pre-ordained) is a transition document for developers. Actually show the different usage; e.g., "Where you used to call $db->getAll($query), you need to do this instead: ..." It would be a good piece of change management, but yes, it would be a lot of work. :-(Thats the point. Such a document is actually not that much work because MDB2 tries to follow the DB API as much as possible.
