Just food for thought,
If you are developer and have PEAR compliant code, why can't you just start
your own sourceforge.net repository? You'd be able to drop all your code in
there, distribute from there and allow others to download from there? Is
there something wrong with NOT being part of the PEAR repository?
I've seen this argument twice now and wonder about PEAR-folk not having a
standard response to it.
