Seems to make sense for me. If I remember correctly the QA team is
currently seeking for a new maintainer for the File package, so it might
make sense to ask them what the current status is. Anyone?

Why does the File_Size class inherit from PEAR? It is very likely that
there is no need for that. And you seem to have forgotten to include
PEAR.php, even though you raise PEAR errors in your code.
