I volunteered for taking over the File package, but before I did, Cipri came around. If he is interessted no more (which seems so, because he neither responded to my private mails nor to the QA mails), I would like to take the package, maintain it and start working on a 2.0 version, with the new features discussed on the QA (and maybe that File_Size stuff?).
