mmmh, just made some tests with it (PHP_4_0_7 branch). If i install it
from scratch and then want to start pear, it reports Archive/Tar.php
missing. It's still in the cvs-tree of php4, but it doesn't get installed.
and i can't install it with the pear script, since it needs it ;)
So i vote for including Archive/Tar.php in the base PHP Distribution.
(i just saw that Archive/Tar.php is in PHP_4_0_7 but not in the HEAD
branch...)
in the meantime i added PEAR/Registry.php to the Makefile.in
