My hope is to get concrete reasoning behind this. On PEAR's own site it
says "PEAR is a framework and distribution system for reusable PHP
components". That's exactly what this MVC implementation provides, a
framework to develop reusable PHP components.
Also, this package *is* simply a library and best yet it is meant to
leverage a lot of what is in PEAR already. Whether or not other PEAR
packages are used is completely up to the developers. I guess a
question I would have is what is the negative impact of this in PEAR.
Before a final decision is made I'd like some in the Group to at least
try the package so they might have a more concrete view of what it can
do. I realize that may not be feasible however it may give better
insight...insight that may still leave you and the same conclusion but
at least it would be a more informed decision.
