For sure there is also a separate "file version". This is usually the CVS-$Id$
of your file. So you'd have two identifiers in the file: First it's own $Id$
and secondly the version (and state) of the package in which this file was
released. Using a tag that would be replaced at packaging-time you wouldn't
need to implement anything for this in the PEAR_PackageFileManager imho.
