That would be a big mistake.Klaus, I admit I got a bit carried away, maybe the *brutal* in Tobias's message clouded my mind :) I don't know if my situation is uncommon, but I don't follow the dev list anymore for lack of time, and other development interests, though I try to actively maintain my package by fixing bugs in a reasonable time. As John Parise writes in a previous reply to this thread, a system to mass-mail package maintainers for announcements regarding development/naming rules etc. would be enough to prevent most of these situations from happening in the future. As a penance for my harsh reply I can contribute sysadmin or development time for building such a thing, if there's the need. :) Ludo
