Derick, this wasnt really Davids fault, there was a bit of confusion over the naming, that was just overlooked by everybody, until it was a bit late.
.. Although I agree, there have been a few hickups. - it may be better that new account requests only get access to their own package for the time being. (That looks like what has been happening already anyway.)
Do we have the resources to manage another CVS server specificly for pear?? - is it worth seperating?? - perhaps something to discuss at frankfurt in november?
