Hosnestly I don't a company paying the developers to rewrite a working application from PHP4 to
PHP5, try to sell that :)
That put aside PHP4 is going to stick around for a while so the situation where PHP4/PHP5 packagesa
re going to live together must be thought of.
PHP5-only packages don't have to be crippled they can use exceptions and be done with it. As
greg mentionned a channel for php5 would be the best solution.
