As this is more of a client-side issue, i don't know that PEAR is the
appropriate place for such a thing.
If you want to implement it, however, I would suggest that a new
HTML_QuickForm type would be the correct place to implement it.
I have implemented the client-side stuff before, and have some code I can
donate if you're interested. I have generic methods (fillSelect(),
disableControl() and so forth), as well as some project-specific glue code to
make it work. I implemented it with jsolait and XML-RPC; each selection
triggers an XML-RPC call to fetch the values for the next <select/>.
