Greetings, After being frustrated, and haven't exactly found what I need. I'm proposing a New package. I'm new to PEAR. So I'll start the discussion here, and then write a proper proposal. Please advise me on what I should/shouldn't do. The problem is that sometimes you want to have to drop down menus( <SELECT> ) When the user selects a value in one drop down, it would automatically populate a "Chained" Drop down. Without a page refresh ofcourse. It should be done one the client side, using Javascript.
As this is more of a client-side issue, i don't know that PEAR is the appropriate place for such a thing. If you want to implement it, however, I would suggest that a new HTML_QuickForm type would be the correct place to implement it. I have implemented the client-side stuff before, and have some code I can donate if you're interested. I have generic methods (fillSelect(), disableControl() and so forth), as well as some project-specific glue code to make it work. I implemented it with jsolait and XML-RPC; each selection triggers an XML-RPC call to fetch the values for the next <select/>. Thanks for the tips. It would be great if you can donate the code. And I could possibly create two methods to fetch the Data. The First(Default) XML-RPC. And the second would be an array dump to javascript. It makes the page bigger, but the update faster. This way the programmer will have the choice to do he wants
