Yes, like I said in my first comment: ErrorStack's goal among other things
was to make it easy to switch between PEAR_Error and other error handling.
Also ErrorStack is still in alpha. So if at all it seems to me to make the
most sense to add whatever you feel is lacking (even if that is just a
lighter loader class) to ErrorStack.
However please note that codesize issues dont impress me too much. These
are the days if bytecode encoders. Of course this takes a bit of memory
but from my understanding this means that adding loader classes in
separate files is probably going to kill more performance than it safes if
you are using one of the freely available bytecode caches (which you should
if you care about performance).
